• Concerns Before Surgery I had a complex about my hooked nose since childhood, which caused me severe stress. My nose also seemed to bend more and more to the side, whether due to trauma or rhinitis, and the drooping tip became more pronounced. • Consultation Experience Since I live in a different area, I left early and arrived before my scheduled appointment time. I asked if I could go in earlier, but they said there were too many people waiting and it might take some time. So I waited for a long time and eventually went in around the time I had originally scheduled. There seem to be many patients but relatively few staff at the reception desk. • Surgery Results Because of my hooked nose, the side profile wasn't smooth and the tip appeared drooping, which caused me stress. When I smiled, it looked like an arrow nose, which bothered me. Additionally, since I had rhinitis and sinusitis with frequent nasal congestion, I wanted to solve the functional aspects as well, so I looked into hospitals. Being an ENT clinic gave me peace of mind, and during consultation, they explained the bent nasal septum and rhinitis condition in detail using CT scans, which gave me confidence. They showed me 3D photos of my face and multiple nose line options showing how the hooked nose and tip would change, which was helpful in imagining the results. I underwent correction for hooked nose, tip, deviated nasal septum, rhinitis, and sinusitis all together, and requested to make it look as natural as possible. They primarily used my own cartilage without implants and said they would use ear cartilage if needed, but since I have a large nose, I thought it wouldn't be necessary. However, they used both. After surgery, there was almost no pain in the nose, but occasionally my ear throbbed and hurt quite a bit. Now, almost 2 months post-surgery, the side line is much smoother and my overall expression has become much softer. The nasal congestion has decreased, making breathing easier. I still need to observe more, but so far it seems to have turned out naturally and well, so I'm very satisfied.

I went to work with the splint off and still wearing tape, but people around me said they wouldn't have known unless I told them! It's only been a month, so as the swelling continues to go down, I think it will look even more natural haha. • Concerns Before the Procedure I'm a 28-year-old male. I've been living with rhinitis and sinusitis my whole life, and since childhood, every time I went to the hospital, I was diagnosed countless times with "deviated septum requiring surgery." Beyond just having a curved nose bone, one of my nostrils was blocked by about half. Every winter, I'd catch a cold and couldn't breathe through my nose, which was very difficult. A junior colleague at work had septorhinoplasty and tip rhinoplasty done well at BS Soom ENT Clinic, so I gathered courage and had the surgery done too. I also had a dorsal hump that genetically stuck out from the middle of my bridge since childhood, so I've always thought my nose wasn't pretty and that I'd need cosmetic surgery eventually. I was torn between going to an ENT clinic since I was worried about aesthetics, and going to a plastic surgery clinic since I was worried about function. Then my junior colleague at work had surgery there too, and moreover, I heard from YouTube that the directors at BS Soom ENT Clinic studied plastic surgery textbooks just as much as ENT textbooks lol. Plus, there were so many reviews and the hospital had a virtual rhinoplasty machine, so I visited with confidence. I'm the type of person who needs to research things thoroughly to feel satisfied, so I searched for BS Soom ENT Clinic and found they had a YouTube channel, so I watched a lot of videos. The location in Busan Hadan was also convenient, and most importantly, the directors were reasonably young, so they do procedures well according to current trends, communicate well with younger patients, and listen well to what patients have to say, so it felt trustworthy. Among them, I thought the director of Department 1 might be the most skilled, so I proceeded with a consultation with Director Jung Jae-hoon. • Consultation Experience The good part is that the night before surgery, while taking a sleep test, I had a cold at the time so I snored a bit, and when the director saw the numbers, he asked "Would you like to have snoring surgery too?" but since it was something I didn't know about and hadn't thought of, and I thought it was high because of the cold, I explained that to him and he coolly said "Yes, then you probably don't need to do it," and moved right on. So I felt confident that he absolutely doesn't do unnecessary treatments. Since the hospital is quite popular, both surgery and clinic patients are very busy. Sometimes even with reservations, you have to wait an hour because the directors encounter unexpected patients who take longer during consultations, but on the other hand, it's proof that many patients seek them out. • Procedure Results I'm the type with a constitution where wounds heal poorly, so even after 3 months, my nasal mucosa still bleeds a little, but it's not a major inconvenience. The good parts are that I can also use the hyperbaric oxygen chamber to reduce swelling quickly, and most importantly, I had laser treatment twice for the surgical scar. At first, the director recommended the laser and I thought "Ah, they're trying to charge for laser here too," but the director directly told me he wouldn't charge for the laser!! I was so happy about that, and thanks to that, the scar became very faint. Of course, after seeing this review, don't think "They'll do it for free for me too?" It's great if they do, but if they don't, there's nothing you can do, so I hope you won't complain too much. Additionally, they said they slightly shaved the dorsal hump and added natural material on top of it. They slightly lifted the tip of my nose with cartilage from my ear. • Additional Comments Before the surgery, since it's a general anesthesia procedure, I worried "What if something goes wrong?" and since childhood, I always woke up with seizures after general anesthesia surgery, so I was worried, but fortunately this time I didn't have seizures. The surgery took about 3 hours, and since I had 5 procedures - rhinitis, deviated septum, sinusitis, inferior turbinate reduction, and tip rhinoplasty - it took quite a while! Right after surgery, my body had no strength and the anesthesia was circulating, so I felt fine, but a few hours later, my nose started hurting a bit. It was about the level of pain when you get hit in the nose while fighting as a child. It's not unbearable. The next morning, they removed the gauze from inside my nose, and since I had experience before, it wasn't too difficult. To compare it to something, it feels like pulling gauze out from your forehead, so tears automatically stream down lol. But it feels refreshing. Right after removing the gauze, breathing was good. There's still a plastic splint inside playing a supporting role, so I felt good thinking that I just need to wait for even better breathing. However, while having the rhinitis surgery, the mucosa was dissolved, so the mucosa kept flowing out + it kept self-generating secretions, so for about 3 weeks, nosebleeds came frequently, which was tough. But if you go to the hospital when you have time and ask for some suction, they remove the secretions and it feels amazing, so if you live nearby, you could go often. After 3 weeks, nasal irrigation became possible, so breathing is better now. 3 months later, due to lifting the tip of my nose, only slight skin tightness remains and the inside of my nose is mostly healed. A week after the surgery, when I removed the splint, my nose was so swollen that it felt strange and I thought "Is this right...?" but As each week passes, the swelling goes down noticeably and everything settles into place. At first, people around me noticed because my nose got so high, but 3 months later, people I meet occasionally don't notice at all and say it looks natural. Also, the ear cartilage is slowly resorbed and descends over about 6 months, so don't worry too much, and I hope everyone enjoys breathing clean air.
